Today I want to tell you a very nice story that happened to me. It is about Freshlyground, an amazing South African band that I discovered listening to Waka waka by Shakira featuring Freshlyground. I heard the beautiful voice of Zolani (here below) that makes me curious about this band. I then fell in love with their music.
So two month ago (early February 2013) I decided to order a DVD of Freshlyground concert on the
Freshlyground online store and paid 25.41 USD via Paypal. Here is the receipt as you can see below :
The problem was that several weeks had passed since the order and I still did not receive anything so I was worried about it and thought I might have been done. Then I sent an e-mail to Freeground Records to ask about the parcel. I received a response from Kerry Friedmann (Freshlyground management) telling me that my order came in midst Freshlyground crossing over to a new site and online store and that my order it remained on old site instead of being fowarded onto the new site. At the end of the mail he said the FG office will attempt to get the DVD posted off tomorrow with a note : "NB pls note there is a Post office strike at present. I will give you futher feedback tomorrow."
In my head I was like : "C'est pas possible...really?! I can't believe it." But surprisingly, several days later, I got an unexpected e-mail from the Freshlyground store saying :
"Dear Customer and Freshlyground Fan
I think it was very nice of them to offer to give me the new album for free. I said yes and did listen to the new album while I was waiting for the DVD. (By the way the new album is great!)
Today the 9th April 2013, a postwoman rang at my door saying that there is a parcel for me!
And guess what it is...
A fresh DVD coming right from Cape-Town South Africa!
So I have to say thank you Freeground records!
To conclude a video of my favourite Freshlyground song : Ma'Cheri
